I think a few opinions from the readers of this forum would be plenty sufficient to help me find something I will be happy with for a while. Because I'm not all that picky and not too experienced, I'd prefer to not read the Piano Book or spend too much money on a tech to check out any pianos I might be interested in. I don't have a set budget, but would prefer to stay under 3k unless I happened to find a great deal on a nice baby grand in which case I might be willing to step it up a little bit (the cheapest baby grand I have found new was 8k which is definitely pushing it, so I've been focussing on uprights).
I really just want something decent that's going to last for a good 10-15 years. I'm not seasoned enough to even be able to tell the difference in the sounds of various brands/styles.
